Purpose of the Position

  • To assist in the development, and support the execution of, strategic and business priorities
  • To Work cross-functionally to execute strategic priorities and plans
  • To Support development of Company Group Strategy to inform BTO activities & priorities

Key Performance

Tasks

Strategy and Business Development:

  • Assist in the development of hypothesis-driven point of views on strategic priorities and key considerations for the relevant topics
  • Support business strategic projects and due diligence
  • Provide support and assistance in driving/executing strategic projects across the business

Project Management:

  • Assist with Group level projects and/or assist with project management for key projects in the business/functional areas where required
  • Work cross-functionally to execute strategic priorities and plans
  • Creating project Charters
  • Coordinating preparation work for strategic programme’s input at the Transformation Steering Committee including supporting creating the presentation
  • Updating and distributing minutes (including action logs) for the Transformation Steering Committee
  • Provide project documentation e.g. close out reports, memos, content for presentations at Group ExCo / MAL ExCo / MAH ExCo / SA ExCo / Northern and Southern region ExCo etc
  • Support sign off of deliverables identified in vendor SOWs
  • Champion change and galvanise the business to be a part of the transformation process
  • Project operations
  • Provide support to strategic programme’s Programme Manager and Programme Director as required
  • Support the Business Readiness Lead

Business Readings:

  • Integrates and executes on the readiness plan to prepare deliberately for the deployment and business adoption
  • Leads the engagements with the BAU to consolidate and represent the BAU perspectives
  •  Leads in-stream strategic alignment to provide overall stream strategic and execution support

BTO Change Management | BTO:

  • Provides strategic and execution support to the change management and communication leads
  • Stress tests stream outputs and deliverables

Change Alignment:

  • Attends to and executes on programme governance requirements
  • Provide thought leadership to Change Managers of strategic programmes
  • Support preparation of content for required change forums
  • Develops  vendor  management  approach  for  key  vendors  delivering  into  strategic programmes

Vendor Management:

  • Develops vendor management scorecard
  • Manages and coordinates the vendor management process for key vendors delivering into strategic programmes
  • Works with Assurances to establish and maintain confidence in vendor management for strategic programmes

Stakeholder Relations:

  • Partner across functions and business units to operationalise strategy and optimise tactics
  • Provide support to internal stakeholders to ensure achievement of business objectives
  • Establish and maintain healthy, diverse internal (and external relations where relevant) in the achievement of business goals

Qualifications Essential:

  • A degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Engineering, Sciences, or Business Administration related field
  • Post graduate degree would be advantageous

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in project management in strategic or large-scale transformational programmes
  • Experience in steerco presentations
  • Experience with Telecommunications, Digital and/or Media industries preferred
